      • Discounted rate if paired with the installation or service of a water filter.

      • Discounted rate if paired with any plumbing work.

      • According to the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, water tanks should be cleaned and desludged every 2-3 years.

      • Odors, tastes, and water discoloration often result from excessive sludge buildup, primarily composed of organic matter such as leaves, dead insects, and bird droppings entering your water storage system. This sludge layer needs to be removed regularly to prevent contamination of your water supply.

      • We can clean all types and capacities of water tanks.

      • Excess sludge and organic matter create an anaerobic layer at the base of your tank, allowing unwanted bacteria to thrive. In extreme cases, disturbing this layer can release bubbles of methane gas, a strong indication that your water tank needs immediate cleaning.

      • In some situations, we may recommend water treatment options to ensure the quality of your water.

      • Basic Clean: Suitable for tanks around 60,000 liters or less. Cleaning can be performed from the manhole while the tank is full of water. This method yields good results and is appropriate for tanks in an 'okay' condition that require some maintenance.

      • Regular Clean: Recommended for most tanks. This method achieves excellent results and is best performed when the tank is about 50% full or less.

      • Clean & Drain: The tank is thoroughly cleaned and drained to less than 20 liters of water, removing the maximum amount of silt and debris. This option is ideal for those with access to a bore for refilling the tank or for those needing to completely rehabilitate their water tank.

      • These are the basic tank cleaning categories. Every situation is unique, and the process will be tailored to the specific needs of the client, based on a discussion.

    • Water tank cleaning is similar to cleaning swimming pools.

    • We use a specialized pump, vacuum hoses, and a proprietary vacuum head to remove the sludge and debris that accumulate at the base of the tank. The pump can handle sticks, leaves, and even the thickest sludge buildup.

    • The sludge is pumped out into a nearby paddock or another appropriate location.

    • A minimum of 300mm of water is required in the tank to vacuum clean it properly.

    • Depending on the amount of sludge, a 23,000-liter tank will require about 20% of its water volume for effective cleaning. An 80,000-100,000 liter tank will need approximately 100-200mm of water for efficient cleaning.

    • If water is a concern, we can help organize a water delivery after the tank has been cleaned.
